Some Blackboard classes have activities that require Adobe Flash Player to be enabled. It is recommended that you use the Firefox browser when you are working on Blackboard projects that require Flash Player.

Instructions on how to enable Flash Player

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to any website, then click the lock icon beside the URL.
  2. Choose Site settings. Find Flash by scrolling down.
  3. You will see a drop-down arrow with options to Block (default) or Allow. Choose Allow to enable Flash.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer and click the Tools button on the upper right corner.
  2. From the pop-up options, choose Manage Add-ons.
  3. Click Toolbars and Extensions in the dialogue box.
  4. Scroll down the list to find Shockwave Flash Object. If it is disabled, enable it.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and click on the ellipsis icon (three dots "…") in the upper right corner.
  2. Highlight Settings from the pop-up options and click on it.
  3. Select Advanced settings from the next set of options.
  4. If the Use Adobe Flash Player option is Off, turn it to On.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and click on the "hamburger" (three horizontal bars) menu icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Click on Add-ons in the drop-down menu.
  3. Find Shockwave Flash and choose Always on.
