University of Otago Library electronic resources (E-resources) include databases, e-journals, and e-books.
All current University staff and students (including Pathway and Language Centre students) automatically have access to Library E-resources. If you cannot access Library E-resources, use this guide to troubleshoot the issue:
On-campus access
Library E-resources should be available via all devices while using the UO_WIFI and wired networks on University of Otago campuses. If you have previously been able to access Library E-resources on campus, check if you can successfully access other online services while connected to the University network (e.g. the University website) and other Library services (e.g. the Library catalogue).
Some electronic resources require a different username and password. To access a specific resource, please email: eresources.library@otago.ac.nz
Undergraduate student
If you are an undergraduate student, please contact AskStudent IT Services for support:
Staff or postgraduate student
If you are a staff member or postgraduate student, contact AskOtago:
Visitors/former students/former staff
Access to electronic resources for University visitors, both academic and student, is not permitted.
If you have previously been a University of Otago student or staff member, you may no longer have access to Library E-resources. If you think you should still have access, please contact AskOtago:
Off-campus access
Licensing restricts off-campus access to E-resources to University of Otago staff and students only.
If you are off-campus, you will need to log in via Ezproxy using your staff or student username and password.
Please see the related article: About EZproxy and Library E-resources
