When issued, your tuition fees invoice and reference details for payment can be found in the My Account section of your eVision portal.
Payment can be made by EFTPOS, internet banking, covered by Government student loan (StudyLink) or fees-free entitlement. Tuition fees cannot be paid by instalment. Students at the Dunedin campus can pay their tuition fees by credit card at the AskOtago Central Hub in the Information Services Building. A 2% non-refundable surcharge is payable on all credit card payments. Tuition fees are not able to be paid over the phone using a credit card. The Student Services Fee is paid by StudyLink as part of the tuition fee invoice.
The University of Otago uses the Western Union Business Solutions payment portal. You can pay your tuition, accommodation, and insurance fees from your bank account using a telegraphic transfer, or domestic transfer.
Due dates for fees
If you don't pay your tuition fees in full, or apply for a government student loan (domestic students only) by the due date, you will incur a late payment fee.
Students enrolling in February for a course of study of a full year or longer will need to pay tuition fees for the full academic year before starting their study.
