To use the Student Desktop on your phone or tablet, you will need to download and install the Citrix Workspace app (formerly known as Citrix Receiver) through the App Store on iPhone or Play Store on Android.

For best results, you should use the default web browser for your device:

iPhones/iPads: use the Safari web browser

Android: use the preinstalled Internet Explorer or Chrome web browser

Once the application has been installed, you can open a browser and go to the Student Desktop if you are a student, or the Staff Desktop if you are a staff member. 

Login with your username and password which will download an executable file which once opened will open the desktop in the Citrix Workspace app. Follow the prompts if you are asked for further identification.

You may find it difficult to work with Student Desktop on your mobile if your screen size is very small.

Although you are able to access Student Desktop using mobile broadband, this is not recommended as it may consume large amounts of data. You should use the University wireless network (UO_WIFI) while on campus and other wired or wireless internet-enabled connections when at home to access Student Desktop.
