With the rollout of Office 365, the University is moving to OneDrive as the preferred cloud storage solution. You can find information about Onedrive here:
University of Otago staff, postgraduate students, and people with external usernames can all use Syncplicity Sync & Share.
The service is available to undergraduate students only if required for the purpose of collaborating or supporting a research project - please send your request by email to email@example.com
To request a Syncplicity account as a staff member or a postgraduate student, log in to the Ask IT Customer Portal using your University username and password:

- Ask IT Customer Portal - Syncplicity Sync & Share Application for postgraduate students [please note: the form is only visible if you log in to Ask IT with your postgraduate student credentials]
You will be asked three questions about the data you are going to synchronise and share with Syncplicity. Your answers to these questions define the Syncplicity User Security Policy Group you are added into.
You will be emailed a link for registering to use the service and installing the Syncplicity Sync & Share client software on your computers and any other devices you're using.
Please don't sign up for the free version of Syncplicity if you are already using the University service as this can cause problems with synchronising your files correctly.
