Continuing Education shares the results of academic scholarship within and beyond the University community, and fosters discussion on matters of public interest as part of the University's role as a critic and conscience of society. It is non-credit towards a degree and includes lectures, seminars, short courses, interest-only papers, professional development and continued medical/executive education (maintenance after completion of a degree) and is taught by University staff who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Continuing Education is for:

  • Otago Alumni
  • Parents of current students
  • The University community of staff and students
  • The wider community of interested and/or professional people with access to Dunedin and other Otago campuses
