There are a number of graduation related activities held on the day of each graduation ceremony. All graduands and their whānau are invited to attend these optional events.
Graduation brunch
Hosted by the University of Otago, the brunch takes place prior to the graduation parade. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to celebrate your success with family, friends, and the University community.
- When the procession begins at 11:30am, the brunch will be held from 9:30am–11:00am
- When the procession begins at 1:30pm, the brunch will be held from 11:30am–1:00pm
Thanksgiving service
A short informal service of thanksgiving held by the University Chaplaincy team before the graduation parade.
Graduation parade
OUSA organises an informal procession along George Street prior to the graduation ceremony. The parade is a great opportunity for you to walk along the middle of the main street of Dunedin towards the Town Hall and be acknowledged by your friends and family.
