The Student Services Fee is a compulsory fee charged to help fund a range of support services available to all students, such as:

  • Advocacy
  • Campus events
  • Careers advice
  • Financial advice
  • Gym and recreation activities
  • Healthcare
  • Internet access on campus for your personal use
  • Pastoral care, etc.

Legislation requires that all money collected by the University of Otago from the Student Services Fee is spent on student services.

The University and OUSA want to work together with you to determine how to provide the right services to enhance your student experience. We seek and value your input to make the best decisions on how to spend the money collected from your Student Services Fee.
