On MacOS there is no option to change page settings when printing or saving a OneNote file to PDF. However, the content must be scaled to fit an A4 papersize in Portrait otherwise the resulting PDF shows only 3/4 of the original document.

Fixing paper size settings:

  1. Open the OneNote file online in Google Chrome by logging into Office 365 with your student/staff email and password.

  2. Select the OneNote icon in the left-hand bar.

  3. Click the relevant OneNote file to open it in a new browser tab.

  4. Then click the three stacked dots in the top right-hand corner.

  5. Click Print... and change the destination to Save as PDF.

  6. Open the More settings tab and make sure the paper size is set to A4.

  7. Also change Scale to Customised and 75 (%) before clicking Save.
