Office 365 Online allows you access to browser-based versions of familiar Microsoft Office software such as Word. It means you can access Word from any computer without needing software to be installed. All files are saved to your OneDrive where 1TB of free online storage is included with your University account. 

You can access Word in Office 365 Online by:

  1. Go to the main Office 365 page and sign in using your University of Otago student email address and password, or alternately sign in to your StudentMail account and click on the Office 365 button in the top left hand corner. This will also take you to the main page of Office 365 Online.
  2. Click on the Word icon to open the Word application in your browser.
