If you know your password but want to change it, you can do this in the Identity Self Service console:
You will need to allow a couple of minutes for your password change to take effect. When you change your University of Otago password, any device or application that has stored your password (desktops, laptops, smartphones, or tablets) will need to be updated to the new password.
