You will have originally accessed eVision when you began your application process to study at Otago:

eVision is essentially the administration system for everything about your personal University programme. You are able to see a lot of important information in eVision including:

  • Notices sent to you from the University
  • Your student fees
  • Your programme of study
  • Your examination results
  • Your personal student timetable

It is also where you choose or make changes to your University papers.

Below you will find explanations about all of the tabs in eVision you might use during your time at University.

Home

The home tab on your eVision portal (sometimes referred to as the "dashboard") contains a summary of your University programme information at a glance

One of the more important areas of the Home tab is the All alerts pane, which contains important information sent to you by the University

Applications

If you haven't yet fully completed your application for study, you will see this tab. You can accept your course enrolment declaration and submit your application here:

Details

The Details tab allows you to review your personal, contact, and education details. It is important to keep these up to date.

Programmes and Papers

The Programmes and papers tab allows you to check which papers you are enrolled in during your degree, change your specialisation, change your papers, apply for another programme, or cancel your enrolment.

You can also apply for Global Exchange, the University of Otago's student exchange programme:

Finance

The Finance tab allows you to check on all things financial with the University, such as your account which includes information such as invoices, receipts, or refunds.

You can see your course fee assessment which will show you the fees for the individual papers you are enrolled in.

You will find payment options advising how you can pay your tuition or other University fees.

You can also check, update, and save your bank account details:

Timetable

In the Timetable tab you will find information on your lectures, labs and tutorials, including when they are scheduled and where they are to be held.

If you don't know where a certain room is, you can click on the room name to open Google Maps which will show you exactly where the building is.

Examinations and results

The Examinations and results tab allow syou to see your examination results and academic record, transfer credit from previous study, and view the examination rules.

You can also apply for alternative arrangements, special consideration, and enquire about exceptional circumstances here.

Scholarships and awards

In the Scholarships and awards tab you can find links to view the Scholarships page, or to contact the Scholarships office.

If you have applied or are eligible for a scholarship, you will also see any scholarships you have been awarded or declined, as well as the sums you will receive in total and what has already been paid.

Graduation

If you are eligible to graduate, the Graduation tab will give you the option to apply to graduate from the University. You can also ask the Graduation office a question here.
