Even if you studied at Otago as an undergraduate, there are still important things you might need to know about using IT as an Otago postgraduate:

Postgraduate Learning Labs

Postgraduate students need to use IT tools differently than undergraduate students. AskOtago Student IT Services provide Learning Labs that cater to your requirements.

Learning Labs are fun, free, 10-minute tutorials designed to provide you with valuable IT training. They are held on the ground floor of the Central Library behind the Student IT Desk in our training area. Learning Labs are run on-demand whenever you need a pick-me-up in the world of IT. Just come and see us - we can arrange a time for you, or even help you out on the spot! Feel free to bring your own device to follow along, and ask as many questions as you need.

Some Learning Labs you might find useful:

  • Using Cloud Storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud etc.)
  • Notetaking
  • Organise your life (Google Calendar)
  • Collaborating online
  • Word Thesis Formatting
  • EndNote Referencing
  • Intro to Blackboard

  • Intro to OneNote
  • Intro to Word
  • Intro to Endnote
  • Intro to R Studio

...as well as anything else you may need help with.
