Uniprintstations are multifunction devices (MFDs) that can be accessed at the libraries and student computer areas of all University of Otago campuses. Uniprintstations can:

  • receive print jobs from University-owned student computers or from your own device
  • copy and scan in both colour and black and white.
  • print colour and black and white in one document (this will be charged accordingly)
  • double-sided print and copy

Copying

You can use a Uniprintstation as a photocopier to copy documents:

  1. Swipe your ID card across the card reader
  2. Click on the Copy button to access the Uniprintstation's photocopier functions and follow the instructions on the display
  3. The funds stored on your ID card are used to pay for your copies

Scanning

You can also scan documents on a Uniprintstation:

  1. Swipe your ID card across the card reader
  2. Click on the Scan and Send or Scan and Store button to access the Uniprintstation's scanning functions and follow the instructions on the display
  3. You can send your scanned documents to your email address, or copy them onto a USB flash drive

There is no cost for scanning.

You can't send a fax from a Uniprintstation, but if you need to send a fax you can use the fax service:
