To be eligible for a Purchase Card, you will need to meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • You travel frequently or overseas in the course of your work
  • You are responsible for purchasing significant numbers of minor value goods and services on behalf of the University
  • You incur regular small dollar transactions

You can apply for a PCard using the request form on the Financial Services website. Scan the completed form and a certified copy of photo ID, and email both to the Purchase Card Administrator: pcard.admin@Otago.ac.nz

Certified copy of photo ID

A certified copy of photo ID is a copy of a driver’s license, passport or firearms license that is certified as a true and correct by a Trusted Referee such as a Justice of the Peace, Chartered Accountant, Solicitor, or Westpac bank officer.

The copy of the ID should be in colour, and if using a driver’s license, ensure that both sides are copied. Most departmental MFD's will have a scanning function:
