The University of Otago's Māori Language Policy - Ngā Kaupapa mō te reo Māori is designed to promote the use of te reo Māori by students and staff.

Māori Language Policy - Ngā Kaupapa mō te reo Māori

To encourage te reo Māori use around campus, the Office of Māori Development can provide endorsed Māori translations to use on webpages, publications, and signage for divisions, departments, buildings, programmes, roles, and services. On the Māori ki Te Whare Wānanga o Ōtākou website you'll find an online form to apply for a translation and lists of the existing translations used around the University in both generic Māori and the southern Māori (Ngāi Tahu) dialect.
