You are considered a visiting student if you are a student normally enrolled at another institution visiting Otago to carry out academic or other unpaid work related to your studies, and not concurrently enrolled in any Otago paper or programme.

The University of Otago has a "duty of care" obligation to students from other institutions while they are visiting. This is defined in our Visiting Students Policy, and there are also terms and conditions that you will need to abide by during your visit. In order to meet our obligations, we need to know about and approve each visit before you arrive. This includes collecting information so we can provide you with resources (e.g. Wi-Fi access) during your visit and support in case of an emergency.
