Sophos Anti-virus
The University of Otago recommends Sophos Endpoint Security, which can be downloaded for free directly from the Sophos website:

Office 365
You can download and use Office 365 applications for free on your own device:
EndNote
EndNote software is free for all University students. Your EndNote licence entitles you to use EndNote on your home computer for University work while you are enrolled. You are also entitled to any upgrades released to the University. You can request EndNote through ITS:

SPSS
If you are a postgraduate student you can have SPSS installed on your home computer for University work, with the licence paid for by your department. A Postgraduate SPSS software request form must be completed:

If you are an undergraduate student, you can install SPSS on your home computer for University work as long as you pay for the licence personally. The cost is $53.00 plus GST per year. An Undergraduate SPSS licence request form must be completed.

NVivo
If you are a postgraduate student you can have NVivo software installed on your home computer for University work but it must be requested by your department. Please see the NVivo page for more information.
