Sophos Anti-virus

The University of Otago recommends Sophos Endpoint Security, which can be downloaded for free directly from the Sophos website:

EndNote

EndNote software is free for all University students. Your EndNote licence entitles you to use EndNote on your home computer for University work while you are enrolled. You are also entitled to any upgrades released to the University. You can request EndNote through ITS:

SPSS

If you are a current student you can have SPSS software installed on your home computer for University work. Both you and a departmental authority must sign the software request form. The department is responsible for installing SPSS onto your computer.

NVivo

If you are a postgraduate student you can have NVivo software installed on your home computer for University work. Both you and your departmental authority must sign the software request form. Please see the NVivo page for more information:

If you are a postgraduate student you can have GraphPad Prism software installed on your home computer for University work. Both you and your departmental authority must sign the software request form. Please see the GraphPad Prism page for more information:

MATLAB

If you are a current student you can have MATLAB software installed on your home computer for University work. Both you and a departmental authority must sign the software request form. The department is responsible for installing MATLAB onto your computer.

Stata

If you are a current student you can have Stata software installed on your home computer for University work. Both you and a departmental authority must sign the software request form. The department is responsible for installing Stata onto your computer.

On the Student Desktop

There is also a variety of software available for you to use on the Student Desktop including Office, EndNote, and SPSS:
