You can use your email's 'read receipt' option to confirm that the message you've sent via multiTXT has been received. In Outlook, the Request a Read Receipt check box can be found under Options when you send a message.

If you use another email software application and want to know how to request a read receipt, contact ITS by email on its.servicedesk@otago.ac.nz or calling 64 3 479 8888 or 0800 479 888.

Your multiTXT group administrator can also find out the status of your message through the multiTXT website.

You can find out if your text message has been received but you cannot tell if someone has read it because text messaging systems do not provide this information.
