If you have a Mac or Linux operating system on your computer you still need to use anti-virus software because:

  • While it is correct that most malware is targeted at Windows, this is not always the case
  • Even if your computer is not affected by malware, you might be unknowingly storing them
  • If your computer carries viruses you risk infecting other computers (e.g. when you share files via USB)
  • Many infections of Mac and Linux systems could have been prevented by the use of anti-virus software

Sophos anti-virus software will run on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
