You can have a videoconference in your office or home using desktop videoconferencing. Desktop videoconferencing gives you the ability to participate in videoconferences without having to go to a purpose-built room or purchase expensive equipment. Generally all that is required to attend a desktop videoconference is:

  • a reasonably up-to-date computer or mobile device
  • webcam or camera function
  • microphone
  • speaker
  • a broadband internet connection

Zoom is the ITS-supported option for desktop videoconferencing. See the ITS Zoom Support blog for more information about this service.
