If you can’t locate a piece of assessment such as an assignment or test on Blackboard, your lecturer may have made an assignment unavailable until after a certain date or until other criteria has been met. For example, you might need to mark a lecture as "reviewed" before you can access the assignment. Please contact your lecturer for more information.

If you can't open a Blackboard assignment file that your lecturer has uploaded, first check that you are using a supported web browser and operating system for the current version of Blackboard.

You may not have the right software or software version installed to open a file of that type. AskOtago can help you troubleshoot the issue and download the programs you need if necessary. They can also arrange to have the assignment file checked to make sure it hasn't been damaged.
