Dunedin is very easy to get around, and most places you’re likely to go are either in walking or cycling distance, or accessible by bus.

Public transport

Dunedin has a good public transport system with a flat-rate fare of $3 per bus journey. You can also use a Bee Card for a discounted fare and free transfer within 45 minutes of getting off. See the ORC website for more information:

Car parking

Parking is at a premium around the University campus and the surrounding streets.

Public parking around campus

On-street parking is available around the campus with the parking limits from five minutes to four hours. Parking wardens are active in the university campus area, so take a note of the parking limits to ensure you aren't ticketed.
