The University of Otago offers Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships for students who are enrolling to study for the first time for first-year (100-level) undergraduate study at the University.

These are only open to students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have studied abroad, or international students who have completed Year 12, and completed or in the process of completing Year 13, at a New Zealand secondary school (or an equivalent foundation level course at a New Zealand tertiary institution).

If you haven't studied at a New Zealand secondary school, or are enrolled in a Foundation Year programme in NZ, we recommend contacting the International Office about enrolment at the University of Otago by submitting an enquiry via the online form:

If you've completed an international qualification such as A Levels, International Baccalaureate, or ATAR, and have achieved excellent grades, you may be invited to apply for a New Frontiers Scholarship. Invitations are sent to your eVision portal after you have gone through the first stages of enrolment at the University of Otago.
