Departments are expected to take a reasonable view of employees' circumstances and have a regard for the University's policy on Equal Employment Opportunities and Flexible working arrangements.

While employees do not have an absolute right to flexible working conditions when they return from parental leave, departments are required to consider staff requests for flexible working conditions.
