Departments are expected to take a reasonable view of employees' circumstances with regard to the University's policy on Equal Employment Opportunities and the flexible working arrangements processes.

While employees do not have an absolute right to reduced hours when they return from parental leave, departments are required to consider staff requests for flexible working arrangements.
